Positioning Pt1

Positioning exercise is fun but can be quite difficult. It starts with knowing your clients’ wants and needs. In other words, it’s about them and if what you offer intersects with them that’s where you can position yourself.

Essentially, if you could create your own ‘category’ (a quadrant) and if you stand alone there as the ‘first’ that would be the best. Chances are you wouldn’t be. That’s why it’s important to understand your clients needs first before focusing too much on what it is that you do.

Positioning is your audience’s perception (of your service/brand) relative to what’s already out there
