“Your face is marked with lines of life, put there by love and laughter, suffering and tears. It’s beautiful.”
― Lynsay Sands
I have the memory of my mother asking us, my brother and I, to pull out her white hair when she was in her 40s. This was back in the 80s.
Fast forward to the present – I did not see it coming, me having to pull my own white hair out while cursing for having pulled out a wrong one (black rather than white). I just had to laugh at myself.
Our thoughts about how we are ageing (and everyone is ageing) inform how the world sees us. It’s true. Do you see beauty? I do.
