BEFORE a photo shoot
If there’s one common thing all my clients say it would be this:
I’m not photogenic.
Then they change their mind AFTER the photo shoot with me. That’s what I’ve been told countless times over the years having photographed hundreds of women. I received one such comment yesterday:
I don’t see myself as photogenic so this experience [photo shoot with you, Songy] helped me to know that in the hands of a great photographer, anyone can be photogenic.

Do you feel awkward in front of a camera and you think you’re not photogenic?
I felt the same thing about myself. You would NOT know it when you look at recent photos of myself. How did I get over that eeky feeling?
Strangely enough it is, at some level, related to self-concept and a lack of understanding of who we are as valuable individuals. In the studio or out on location with me, you’ll feel valuable. That’s part of how we create great photos that show the true you. While I don’t take my work too seriously (I try to be joyous instead of serious), I do know that the result I create during and after each photoshoot has tremendous power.
Here, while I’m typing this I’m super grateful for the clarity of my mission. I hope you, too, value who you are and what you do with a laser-like focus of energy.
